Welcome to MyFinances, a personal finance tracking application developed to help you manage your income, expenses, budgets, and savings goals.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application. By using MyFinances, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

If you do not agree with this policy, please discontinue using the app.

• To authenticate you securely via Google Sign-In
• To store and sync your financial records across devices via Firebase Firestore
• To provide budgeting insights, analytics, and financial health reports
• To send streak notifications and reminders about your financial goals
• To display advertisements through Google AdMob (banner and interstitial)
• To improve app performance and fix bugs
• To refresh your monthly income at the start of each new month

🔐 Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption.

👤 Access Control: Only your authenticated account can access your personal financial data through strict Firebase Security Rules.

☁️ Cloud Sync: Data syncs automatically across devices when you are logged in.

MyFinances is free to use and is supported by advertising through Google AdMob. We display:

• Banner Ads – shown at the bottom of the main screen
• Interstitial Ads – shown between certain actions (e.g., adding a transaction)

Google AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and other data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

We may disclose your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• When required by law or legal process
• To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users
• With service providers (Firebase, AdMob) as described above, solely to operate the app

You have full control over your data:

• 🔍 Access: View all your stored financial data directly within the app
• ✏️ Edit: Modify any transaction, income, or budget at any time
• 🗑️ Delete: Permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the Account settings
• 📤 Export: Your data is yours; you may export or review it at any time
• 🔕 Notifications: You can disable push notifications from your device settings

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you permanently delete your account through the app, all your data including transactions, budgets, goals, and account information is immediately and irreversibly removed from our Firebase database.

Advertising data managed by Google AdMob is subject to Google's own data retention policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
